On August 24, 2026, Shanghai Pekon officially launched the ZONRIA (Zon Ria) retail digitalization project in Penang, Malaysia, in partnership with local IT service provider SELATAN.
The project will focus on the integration of SAP Business One (SAP B1) with Pekon’s smart retail solution, WITPOS, supporting ZONRIA’s digital transformation across store operations, inventory management, back-end ERP collaboration, local payment integration, and e-Invoicing compliance.
About the Customer and Partner
SELATAN is a Malaysia-based IT service provider that will support the project’s local implementation, system integration, and ongoing services.
ZONRIA (Zon Ria) is a Malaysian retail chain established in 1992 and headquartered in Butterworth, Penang. The company currently operates 38 stores across several states in Malaysia, offering apparel and a range of daily-use products for students and families.
Strengthening Localized Retail Services in Southeast Asia
The ZONRIA project marks another important step in Pekon’s expansion of localized retail digitalization services in Southeast Asia.
Throughout the project, Pekon will work closely with SELATAN to integrate local payment channels and address Malaysia’s e-Invoicing requirements. This collaboration will help ensure that the solution better aligns with local business operations and regulatory needs.
Through this project, Pekon will further strengthen its experience and capabilities in delivering retail digitalization projects across Southeast Asia, including local payment integration, tax compliance, system integration, and on-site service coordination.
These capabilities will provide a stronger foundation for Pekon to support more retail businesses across the Southeast Asian market in the future.
